When to Arrive

Please allow for “Check-in Time” before the start time of your tour. Due to the increasing number of tours, they are scheduled back to back with no extra time in between or in the schedule. We may not be able to extend your tour time if you are late. We don’t like to rush the students through what should be an Educational and Fun tour. If you can arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour start time, this should be sufficient. If you have plans to eat lunch while at Country Corner, PLEASE, arrange to do so prior to or after your scheduled tour time, Picnic Areas are available, but limited.

Fee Payment

The cost of a tour is the same price for each student, parent, sibling and teacher in the group. We strongly urge you to collect the money from your group before arriving at Country Corner, so that your tour starts on time. We can always make a refund in cash for students unable to attend, or you can add cash to adjust for last minute changes. We want to spend time with the students, not in the collection of money. There is a $35.00 dollar charge for returned checks.

Content and Length of Tour

Our seasonal tours give students and teachers the opportunity to learn about agriculture, food production and the workings of a Pumpkin Farm. This includes supplemented learning that meets many of today’s “New” Common Core Standards appropriate to the age level of your group. Guided tours include a Tractor Drawn Hayrack Ride, Seasonal U-pick Exploration into the Strawberry or Pumpkin Patch. Stroll through our Timber Nature trail and Natural Prairie trail exploration , visit our Bee Barn where Honeybees are hard at work in a working observation hive, visit our Learning Center where Educational Displays may be viewed discussed and interacted with, a trip into the Corn Maze to solve the puzzle and the Petting Zoo to feed the animals. Each group is with a tour guide for approximately 90 to 120 minutes, depending on tour package. Check out additional options and program opportunities on our web-site.

If you feel you must cancel due to weather conditions or any other reason, PLEASE, contact us as soon as possible in the morning so we may adjust Staff.

Additional Important Information for Teachers and Group Leaders

While on your tour, The Tour Guide is “In Charge”, He or She will be comfortable asking the adults to be quiet so that the students can hear and learn. Everyone is to be reminded to stay within his or her group. The Tour Guide will Stop anything that interferes with the Safety and Learning ability of the Group and will not hesitate to ask unruly or those misbehaving to wait on the bus. Please ask parents to have themselves as well as the students dress appropriately for the weather. You are coming to the country; you will get dirty. We strongly suggest long pants, old shoes, jackets or coats, hats and gloves.

You (and or Parents) might want to bring a camera. There will be lots of great photo opportunities! Bug spray and pre-moistened hand wipes may also be helpful.
