School Tours

Kids spent educational time learning how bees make honey and pollenate the plants for the farm at Country Corner Farm Market, Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze, serving Alpha, Illinois & Quad Cities. We offer a Standard Tour as well as a Complete Tour with more activities (see box below).

Many spring tours also add our "Spring Planting" option for $2 per child, where each child is given a pot, soil and seed to take home, and shown how to plant the seed and nurture it.

Please note that the barnyard zoo may be limited at this time. Some of our animals will be awaiting "spring grooming" prior to their arrival from winter quarters.

Our curriculum and instruction is aligned to emphasize the Illinois State Standards of Learning (SOL's) for fieldtrips. (Click here for applicable SOL's) We also ask that you please read our Tour Tips to assure your group has an enjoyable and safe visit.

Prices are the same for adults, siblings, and students. One teacher and one Para-Pro (two teachers total) are admitted free with each thirty students.

Spring Tours, May 15-June 30

Spring tours visit the strawberry patch and learn how we grow sweet, juicy berries.

Summer Tours, July 1-August 31

Summer tours will visit sweet corn fields and other vegetables growing, and discuss how they are planted,grown and harvested.

Fall Tours, September 1-October 31

Fall tours take a hayrack ride into the pumpkin patch, where everyone gets to pick a pie pumpkin to take home.
